Caring for my lovebird, Chewy-TooToo, led me into a long process of learning what true care sometimes requires. When repeated injury prevented healing, I had to introduce restraint in the form of a protective collar. What followed was a slow, ongoing process of recovery, observation, and adjustment—revealing how boundaries can sometimes create the very conditions needed for healing to begin and continue.

Some seasons of life are about visible creation. Others are about unseen preparation. In this season, I’m learning that learning, caring for my flock, and building foundations for the future are also part of creativity. Hidden work is still meaningful work.
