My Dream of the Water Fountain Spray & Play Room

This piece of art is inspired by a dream I had about my lovebird Chuey, who is featured in the top right corner of my colored pencil drawing. Unfortunately, Chuey passed away prematurely after an accident in my home on September 28, 2022. The depiction of Heaven in the middle strip of the drawing is based on what I saw in my dream, with the scenes blending seamlessly into each other. Surrounding this strip are images of my lovebirds: the two in the top corners have already passed on to the Water Fountain Spray & Play Room, the top middle one is currently missing, and the four at the bottom are still with me. Since then, I have added two more lovebirds to my collection, so stay tuned for upcoming drawings and paintings featuring them as well!

The dream featured different elements related to my lovebird Chuey, but the two scenes I depicted in the drawing were the most significant and encouraging. In one scene, I was shown parts of my heavenly mansion with a group of people. I followed the sound of bubbling water and walked around an unfinished convex curved wall on my right. As I followed the wall's curve, it led to an opening where I turned right and discovered a concave room adorned with tall, tiered fountains and lush vegetation. Colorful birds were flying, singing, and playing joyfully in the room. I observed them flying to vertical water discs, collecting water with their beaks while airborne, and playfully squirting each other, creating a delightful sound. I was amazed by their playful interaction and marveled at their ability to squirt water from their beaks.

All of a sudden, a beautiful medium-sized bird with a purple breast and rich red and other vivid colors landed on my right arm and gazed at me curiously. I was mesmerized by its beauty! Without knowing why, I turned to my left and spotted several lovebirds perched on a black marble counter. While I couldn't make out the colors of most of the lovebirds, one stood out - they were all gathered around my little Chuey, who appeared bright and distinct among them, almost as if illuminated by a spotlight. His vivid hues, unique seagreen pied patterns, and teal rump clearly visible on his back, identified him as unmistakably my Chuey, and contrasted with the muted tones of the other lovebirds nearby. I knew he had just made some new friends.

The dream I had was a source of great encouragement for me, especially coming three days after Chuey's passing. I was in deep grief during those days, asking God for a sign to help me make sense of it all. The sorrow I had felt was overwhelming, reminding me agonizingly of the intense grief I experienced when I lost my sister, my best friend, two years earlier. While I had never dreamt about her specifically, the dream about Chuey made a significant difference in how I grieved for him and ultimately for her.

The dream served as a powerful confirmation of the Father's profound love and concern for all His creation. Every creature, no matter how small, is under His watchful care. Among the countless birds that have existed, exist, and will exist on Earth, not a single one is overlooked by Him. If He cares for these creatures so deeply, how much more does He care for those made in His own image? He understood my sorrow for the little bird that had become a dear companion and a source of healing after my loss. The message of the dream reassured me that my beloved Chuey is safe in the Water Fountain Spray & Play Room in Heaven, and my sister Tracie eagerly awaits my reunion with him in Heaven. The dream's profound and enduring encouragement surpasses its initial impact, and I am grateful to God for it until the day I join Him in eternity.

If you were curious, the tiered fountains in my drawing may appear different from those on earth. In Heaven, the higher bowls are typically the same size as the lower bowls in this room. Unlike on earth, the bowls of water in this tiered fountain do not decrease in size with height due to the absence of waste in Heaven. Therefore, there is no necessity to make the lower bowls larger to catch water from the upper bowls, as there is no splashing or mess created on the floor, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. Heaven is characterized by zero waste!

The birds in this room find endless joy in playing with water, splashing in the fountains, and spraying each other mid-air with water from the vertical water spray discs using their beaks. The water supply is unlimited, ensuring there is always water for them to enjoy!
